Slackwater Pizzeria and Pub

Our pizzas at Slackwater Sandy were absolutely as good as they looked. The dough is perfect and we were all fighting over the crusts. They have creative toppings that don’t sound over-the-top weird. I was intrigued by all of them and excited to see some fresh takes on pizza.

Other things we ordered that were delicious:
Spinach salad with Granny Smith apple, candied pecans and gorgonzola.
Iron Horse pizza with pepperoni, sausage, red bell peppers (for sure will order this again).
Pizzas are easy to share because they just give everyone little plates and tons of napkins.
Also have a crazy amount of beers – on tap and otherwise. I’m talking like 10 pages of beer options. And they had $4 pint specials from UTOG Brewery (Ogden) but not sure if that’s every day.
In good weather, don’t miss the patio on the west side. There is a lush patch of trees that makes you forget there’s a mall on the one side and State St. traffic on the other. The best part is Lisa, the server who is usually out there – she is excellent and the great combination of chill but attentive. We even had some nice polite guests of the waterfowl variety.
Tons of seating indoors, live music on the weekends. It’s a buzzing place and the parking lot fills up. Be ready for a wait on the weekend. Kids are welcome and you’ll find high chairs and cups with lids but no kid-specific menu.
In closing: My husband said his pulled pork sandwich was remarkable. *Remarkable.* He has never used that adjective about food (including for my cooking 😂). I’m impressed, Slackwater.
