The best coffee shop in the south part of the Salt Lake valley (I’ll fight you about this!) Perfect place to study, meet a friend, get some work done. Lots of comfortable seating inside and out and the baristas are friendly and know their stuff – you often see the owners working behind the counter too.
A new cute and trendy coffee shop with yummy house-baked treats and food? Cool, but they are a dime a dozen on the Salt Lake side of town. But a family-friendly place where I can get a delicious latte with a friend? Yes, I will drive across the city for that (though now I am a proud Sandy resident so it is oh-so convenient!)
They serve rotating La Barba beans and my first visit I had a lovely and creative soy latte with lavender. My drink of choice is now an oat milk cappuccino.
DO NOT MISS the baked goods baked in-house by one of the owners and her baking crew. They change seasonally but are always beautiful and delicious (stay updated on their Instagram for what’s new). They have a variety of housemade treats (bread pudding, cakes, cookies, croissants) and heartier food (avocado toast, quiche) that change regularly. The avocado toast is made on crusty house bread with goat cheese and fresh tomatoes. On some weekends they have house-made sourdough bagels.
Their customer service is solid – they are very passionate about what they do and it shows – and the owners are regularly in the store. Be prepared for a bit of a wait for your drink as this place is bustling every day of the week and everything is made fresh, although I have seen them fulfilling online orders recently if you’re in a rush.
The decor is vintage and pretty and industrial, with lots of wood tables, metal chairs, and a velvet couch. Clean restrooms with nice little family touches like diapers and wipes. Parking is plentiful out front but does fill up at the busy lunch hour when the restaurant next door opens.
Love this coffee shop and definitely worth the trek across town if you’re in SLC. And now they have a second location in downtown on Main Street!
