  • Coffee cupping is the new wine tasting: Intelligentsia Venice has tastings at $2 per cup, while Sipology’s in Long Beach (448 E. Broadway) has free weekly coffee samplings Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8pm. Eater LA

  • More reasons why summer rocks: Asia de Cuba offers select cocktails and appetizers for only $5 every Friday through the summer from 1pm-4pm. 8440 Sunset Blvd. Eater LA

  • The Rose Cafe in Venice opened up a newly re-designed patio, and Caroline on Crack tells us that you can still get a continental breakfast with regular coffee for under $5. 220 Rose Avenue, Venice. Caroline on Crack
  • Serious Eats gave us a serious run for our money with a contest they hosted to “Make a meal for $10.” Users submitted Frugal-Nosh-worthy recipes like deep dish pizza, healthy chickpea stew, or 100 tamales (for a little over $11). Serious Eats
