We heard about this marvelous website from Serious Eats. Now there’s no excuse to eat crummy fast food…at least not before it’s been transformed into “gourmet” cuisine.

Fancy Fast Food features user recipes of fancy dishes made from a combination of fast food menu items. For example, the beautifully photographed Tapas de Castillo Blanco, made from the following:

* 1 White Castle Sack Meal #1, with cheese and bacon (four bacon cheeseburger Slyders, a box of french fries, and a medium Coca-Cola)
* 1 White Castle Sack Meal #8 (two chicken sandwiches, a box of onion rings, and a medium Hi-C Poppin’ Pink Lemonade)
* 1 order of fried clams
* packets of tartar sauce and ketchup
* parsley (for garnish)

There’s also Spicy Chicken Sushi (made from Popeye’s chicken) and Dao Mi Noh Chow Mein (from Domino’s pizza – say the name slowly: “Dao Mi Noh.”)

The website’s subheading is: “Yeah, it’s still bad for you – but see how good it can look!” Fancy Fast Food

Have you made anything fancy out of ordinary fast food?

Glad you enjoyed it! Wish they had more recipes on the site, but I'll give it time to get going 🙂 Thanks for your comments!
